King Cole Fjord DK

Fjord DK is a beautiful new self patterning yarn from King Cole for the 2020 Autumn Winter Season. There are 10 shades suitable for both men and women and great pattern support, but as a standard DK weight yarn it will knit to most DK patterns.

Even for a novice knitter you can create a stunning garment or home accessory. This yarn can be used to crochet but will not achieve the same Fair Isle affect, although still ultimately beautiful.

100% Anti-Pilling Acrylic

100g ~ 250m

Machine washable at 40

Cool Tumble Dry

Knits on 4mm needles

Lovely wool to knit with, very clever the way the random thread becomes patterned

    Lovely soft double knit.
    No snagging or breaking.
Am using it currently with a self-striping yarn (king cole bramble) and the fjord pattern is showing through (the pattern am using is a sort of strip with two rows of each)
Looking forward to using this yarn on its own to see the pattern in its full glory

Knitted a jumper for my 18 month old great grandson in the Fresvik shade. The self patterning effect is amazing. The quality of the yarn is really good and knits up lovely. Highly recommended.

Yarn knits up beautifully. I am making a tunic and prefer to match the patterns on the sleeves and front and back of the garment with the variegated yarn and it took sometime to find two balls of yarn that matched. But it was worth taking the time.
