Who Needs an Excuse?

I don't think I have ever struggled to find a reason to get knitting, but for the moment I have the best excuse and some great inspiration. A few weeks ago the new Rowan Knitting & Crochet Magazine 66 dropped through my letterbox and I was absolutely inspired. I love it, I have practically had to make myself a list in order of priority, there are so many designs in it that I feel the desire to start!
Then my daughter looked through it, she fell in love with 'Eliot'. And there it begins. My first project chosen and an impossible deadline. She's is about to start university and I'm thinking it would be lovely for her to take it with her. I am a pretty competent knitter, but the fair isle pattern is going to take me longer than I have. So we have agreed, my daughter made it clear she wants me to enjoy knitting it for her, so it can be a Christmas present.
Rowan Felted Tweed is a fabulous yarn and Eliot, by Lisa Richardson is a beautiful design. Yarn, pattern, needles ready to go. Lets get started
